The Map I’d Actually Give a Friend
This is the map I hand to friends flying into Rome. Not a list of monuments you already know about, but the places I go to myself: where to drink proper craft beer, eat gelato that isn’t just dyed sugar, find a view with no queue, and order a carbonara that would make my grandmother nod.
Everything on here is somewhere I have actually been, and recently. No sponsors, no recycled TripAdvisor rankings, no AI filler. Just one Roman’s working map of the city.
How to use it. Tap the icon in the top left of the map to open the layers, then switch on whatever you are in the mood for (Food, Gelato, Craft Beer, Hidden Gems, Views) and switch off the rest. Tap any pin for my note on the place and a link to the full guide. Save the map to your phone before you land. It works while you wander, and Rome is a city best explored with a rough plan and an empty stomach.
Pick a layer and go.
